Butyl Tape
Self adhesive sealing tape for air, water and moisture control
Butyl tape is a flexible, self adhesive sealing material based on butyl rubber or polyisobutylene. Aluminium foil reinforced grades are commonly used for roof and cladding joints, HVAC duct sealing, flashing, repair and general work where air, water and moisture ingress must be controlled.

Questions, answered.
The ones we get most about Butyl Tape. Anything else? Ask on WhatsApp and an estimator will reply.
What temperature can Butyl Tape take?
Reference service temperature: Approx. -40°C to +90°C for aluminium foil butyl grade, as per the datasheet. Tell us your operating temperature and we will confirm the right grade before we quote.
Where is Butyl Tape used?
Typical uses: HVAC duct flange and sheet metal joint sealing; roofing, cladding and flashing joints; waterproof repair around penetrations and laps; general air, water and moisture sealing on compatible surfaces.
Do your crews use Butyl Tape on site?
Yes. We supply it on its own, and our own crews use it on our building insulation, PEB insulation and HVAC insulation jobs. Those start with a site visit and a written specification, and end with a joint measurement at handover.
Is Butyl Tape in stock, and do you send a datasheet?
We hold Butyl Tape at our Vatva GIDC (Ahmedabad) and Morbi stockyards. You can download the datasheet on this page, and we can send the test certificate with the dispatch. Send your enquiry before 4 pm and you will usually hear back the same working day.
