Frequently asked questions
Types of insulation, materials, quotes and site work, answered by the estimators who do the work.
General
Do you just sell material, or fit it too?
Both. Some clients only buy material from us, others hand us the whole job. The written spec is the same either way, and if we're fitting it you also get a joint measurement at the end.
Where is your office?
Our head office is at Vatva GIDC in Ahmedabad. There's a second warehouse on Jetpar Road in Morbi, and Nikhil looks after Maharashtra from Nagpur. Jobs further away aren't a problem, we've worked all over the country.
Do you hold any ISO certificates?
Yes, all three that buyers usually ask about, so quality, environment and safety at work. The certificates themselves are up on our certifications page as PDFs.
How long before someone replies?
Before 4 pm, usually the same working day. If you want someone at your site in Gujarat, honestly the quickest thing is to ring the sales line or WhatsApp us.
Types of insulation
What are the different types of insulation?
Most plant and building jobs use one of three families. Anything hot, and most buildings, gets a wool, which means rockwool, glass wool or ceramic fibre. Cold lines get a closed-cell foam, usually nitrile or PUF, sometimes PIR or XLPE. Roofs, floors and walls often end up with XPS or EPS board, or bubble.
Rockwool vs glass wool?
Look at the operating temperature first and price second. Glass wool's fine to about 450 °C and rockwool to about 750 °C. Above that you'd want ceramic fibre, rated to 1260 °C. And size it for the hottest the line ever gets, start-ups and upsets too, not the normal running figure.
Is denser insulation always better?
People often assume so, but no. A denser wool will hold its shape on a wall, won't sag inside a duct and copes better if someone walks on it. It won't insulate a great deal better though, and that surprises a lot of buyers.
Which brands do you supply?
We're an authorised partner for 24 manufacturers, including Rockwool, Roxul, Rockwool India, Sunrock, Saint-Gobain, Armacell, K-Flex, Morgan Advanced Materials and Supreme.
Do you send datasheets and test certificates?
Yes, with every dispatch. You can also download datasheets for each product group from our datasheets page.
Quotes and site work
What do you need to prepare a quotation?
The line list or a drawing with line sizes, operating temperatures and quantity, plus where the site is. A P&ID or a few photos help a lot. You get material, density, thickness, finish and a rate per line in writing.
Will you visit our plant?
Yes. Before we specify anything we usually come out and take the line list, sizes and temperatures ourselves.
Can you work inside a plant shutdown?
We do it all the time. The material is staged from our own stock beforehand and the crews are rostered hour by hour, nights included.
What do we receive at handover?
A joint measurement, photos of the finished work and a written warranty.

Send the line list. Get a specification and a price.
Get it to us before 4 pm and you will usually hear back the same working day.
